Enable Hyper-V to create virtual machines on Windows 10.
Hyper-V can be enabled in many ways including using the Windows 10 control panel, PowerShell or using the Deployment Imaging Servicing and Management tool (DISM). This documents walks through each option.

Note: Hyper-V is built into Windows as an optional feature -- there is no Hyper-V download.

Check Requirements

  • Windows 10 Enterprise, Pro, or Education
  • 64-bit Processor with Second Level Address Translation (SLAT).

The Hyper-V role cannot be installed on Windows 10 Home.

Upgrade from Windows 10 Home edition to Windows 10 Pro by opening up Settings > Update and Security > Activation.

For more information and troubleshooting, see Windows 10 Hyper-V System Requirements.

Enable Hyper-V using PowerShell

  1. Open a PowerShell console as Administrator.

  2. Run the following command:

If the command couldn't be found, make sure you're running PowerShell as Administrator.

When the installation has completed, reboot.

Enable Hyper-V with CMD and DISM

The Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool (DISM) helps configure Windows and Windows images. Among its many applications, DISM can enable Windows features while the operating system is running.

The Hyper API contains a set of functions you can use to automate your interactions with Tableau extract (.hyper) files. You can use the API to create new extract files, or to open existing files, and then insert, delete, update, or read data from those files. Using the Hyper API developers and administrators can:

  • Create extract files for data sources not currently supported by Tableau.

  • Automate custom extract, transform and load (ETL) processes (for example, implement rolling window updates or custom incremental updates).

  • Retrieve data from an extract file.

Do more using the power of Hyper

Iconfactory. In addition to supporting the features of the previous Extract API 2.0 for creating and updating extract files, the Hyper API provides access to new features:

  • Money pro 1 0 – manage money like a pro. You can create, read, update, and delete data in .hyper files (also known as CRUD operations).

  • You can leverage the full speed of Hyper for creating and updating extract files.

  • You can load data directly from CSV files, much faster, and without having to write special code to do so.

  • You can use the power of SQL to interact with data in .hyper files. The Hyper API provides methods for executing SQL on .hyper files.

Note: This documentation is for the Tableau Hyper API, which is compatible with Tableau 10.5 and later. For information about the Extract API 2.0 and the Tableau SDK for use with earlier versions of Tableau, see the Extract API 2.0 and Tableau SDK documentation.

The Hyper API gives you the tools for interacting with local .hyper extract files. For information about how to programmatically publish the extracts toTableau Server, see the Tableau Server RESTAPIand the Tableau Server Client(Python) library.

Supported languages

The Hyper API only supports 64-bit platforms. The Hyper API libraries are available for the following programming languages:

Hyper 350 Dirt Bike Charger

  • Python (3.6 or newer)
  • C++ (C++11 or newer)
  • Java (Java 8 or newer)
  • C#/.NET (.NET Standard 2.0)

While it is expected that the Hyper API will work on newer versions of these languages, it may not be fully tested.

Supported platforms

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2012 R2, 2008 R2, 2019

  • Amazon Linux 2, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.3+, CentOS 7.3+, Oracle Linux 7.3+, Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and 18.04 LTS

  • Microsoft Windows 7 or newer (64-bit)

  • macOS 10.13 or newer

Hardware requirements
